And here is the transition from dried mud into garden during the month of June 2003.

First the decking, then the slabs, then the grass, just leaving us to plant a few things and arrange a barbecue as a "garden-warming" event.

From the moment the first shovelful was dug, the weather changed into glorious summer - and it has been that way right up until now, the 29th September, making it the best summer I can remember, and a great setting for a new garden.
